Himalayan Salt Wall Kits: What’s Included, Who They’re For and How to Choose

A Saltite Himalayan salt wall kit is a boxed set of Himalayan salt bricks, clear-drying adhesive, and warm LED strip lights, sized to a stated wall area. It suits homeowners, builders, designers, and studio or spa owners who want a backlit feature wall without sourcing parts separately.

At a glance: 5 sizes · 16 to 40 sq ft · $645 to $1,455 · bricks from the Khewra salt range in Punjab, Pakistan · adhesive and lighting included.

What Is a Himalayan Salt Wall Kit?

A Himalayan salt wall kit is a set of Himalayan salt bricks, saltite adhesive, and LED strip lighting sold together for one stated wall size. With loose bricks, you calculate quantities and match the adhesive and lights yourself. A kit does that once, for a known coverage and price.

It is a decorative, lit feature wall for dry indoor rooms. It is not a structural wall, a wet-area finish, or a wellness device.

What’s Inside Every Kit

Every Saltite kit includes four components, and quantities scale with the kit size.

Pre-cut bricks are half-size pieces that finish row ends in a staggered pattern, so the wall edges stay straight.

You supply the wall frame or backing and tools. The LED strip lights come with a standard DC plug/connector; you will just need a compatible power adapter/plug to connect them to your wall outlet. Check the product page or ask Saltite if you need help confirming the exact power adapter required before you order.

Who Salt Wall Kits Are For

  • Homeowners doing a DIY feature wall: the 4×4 or 5×4 ft kit usually fits.

  • Builders and contractors: each kit gives a known quantity and price per wall.

  • Interior designers: a lit accent wall can be specified from a listed kit.

  • Studio, spa, salon, and reception owners: the 20 to 40 sq ft kits suit a focal wall.

  • Hospitality and retail fit-outs: custom sizes are available on request.

What Problems Does a Kit Remove?

Not knowing how many bricks to order

Each kit is sized to a stated coverage, with the full and pre-cut brick counts listed.

Parts that don’t match

The adhesive and lighting come with the bricks, so there’s nothing to cross-check.

Adhesive that fails on salt

Saltite supplies a salt brick adhesive with the kit, not a general-purpose product you have to vet yourself.

Waiting on three suppliers

Bricks, adhesive, and lights arrive in one order.

Nobody to ask

The company that sells the bricks and adhesive answers questions by phone and email, and can calculate custom quantities.

What Are the Benefits of Buying a Complete Salt Wall Kit?

  • Known price per square foot: $35.45 to $40.31, and larger kits cost less per square foot.

  • One order, matched parts, and fewer chances for a quantity or compatibility mistake.

  • Design value: a warm glow, texture, and natural color variation from the salt.

  • Supplier support from the company that sells both the bricks and the adhesive.

  • Compact (4×4 ft): small accent walls and tight spaces.

  • Medium (5×4 or 4×5 ft): choose the wide or tall layout to fit your wall.

  • Wide (10×4 ft): the lowest cost per square foot.

  • Tall (5×8 ft): a floor-to-ceiling vertical layout with 24 pre-cut bricks.

Same area doesn’t mean the same shape.

How to Choose Your Kit in Four Steps

  1. Measure the usable wall width and height in feet.

  2. Match the closest kit, reading the name as width × height.

  3. Check the shape, wide or tall, against the layout you want.

  4. Check support and power: the wall must carry the weight, and an outlet should be nearby.

Weight and Wall Preparation

Saltite’s bricks weigh about 23.4 lb per square foot, from 374 lb (4×4 ft) to 936 lb (40 sq ft kits), before framing. Build on a strong support frame or reinforced backing, and have a professional check large walls. This is not engineering advice, and local code applies.

Lighting

The LED strip backlights the bricks and brings out their color variation. Kits include 30 ft (16 to 20 sq ft) or 60 ft (40 sq ft) of warm LED strip. Wiring and power should follow the manufacturer’s instructions and local electrical rules.

How Does Installation Work?

In overview, installation runs in six steps:

  1. Plan the layout and measure

  2. Prepare the wall and frame

  3. Fit the lighting

  4. Apply the adhesive

  5. Place the bricks

  6. Let the adhesive cure, keeping the wall dry

For cure time and detailed steps, follow the adhesive instructions and our how to build a Himalayan salt wall guide.

Where Can You Use a Salt Wall Kit?

Suitable: living rooms, bedrooms, entryways, home offices, home bars, studios, reception areas, and retail spaces. Saltite’s kits are for dry indoor rooms.

Not recommended: showers, steam rooms, outdoor areas, and damp or humid rooms.

Saunas need a check first. Salt itself melts at about 1,474°F (801°C)—well above standard sauna temperatures according to technical data from Morton Salt and Wikipedia—but heat isn’t the only question. Salt absorbs moisture and dissolves in water, so humidity matters. Saltite also doesn’t specify a temperature or humidity rating for its adhesive or LED lights. Send your sauna’s operating conditions before ordering.

Standard Kit or Custom Order?

Choose a custom order for walls larger than 40 sq ft, odd sizes, several walls, or commercial layouts. Saltite can take your measurements, calculate the kit or custom quantities, and confirm the order. Send the wall width and height, room type, lighting plans, and photos.
